A short interruption allows the BT network to grow

There will be some very short interruptions to your phone services when you’re switched-on. These allow us to carry out the work we need to do without damaging BT's network.

There will be very little disruption to your services as most of the work will be carried out overnight.

What is a service interruption?

A service interruption means that for very short periods of time you won’t be able to make or receive calls.

What will happen if I’m on the phone?

Emergency calls in progress will not be cut off. All other calls in progress will be lost. Do bear in mind that the interruption to phone services will happen between midnight and 6am.

Mobile phones will not be directly affected, so make a note to have your mobile phone charged. If your mobile phone is on a pay-as-you-go service, make sure it has credit on your switched-on dates, in case you need to make a call while we are switching over your services.
